CHELATED COPPER SYRUP is a complementary (dietetic) feed for horses to support the regeneration of the skin and appendages. Copper has a role in the maintenance of elastic connective tissue. Zinc acts as a component of many metalloenzymes involved in protein and carbohydrate synthesis.
Instructions for Proper Use:
It is appropriate to feed this product in the following situations:
ā¢Poor bone development.
ā¢Dull, dry fading coat, hair depigmentation.
ā¢Poor hoof health.
ā¢Where there is a deficiency of copper & zinc in the diet.
Adult Horses: Add to the normal feed ration initially at the rate of 50 g per day (equivalent to 20mg Zinc and 20mg Copper per kg DM based on average DM intake of 10kg per day).
Weanlings & Yearlings: Add to the normal feed ration initially at the rate of 25 g per day (equivalent to 20mg Zinc and 20mg Copper per kg DM based on average DM intake of 5kg per day). Feed for up to 8 weeks ensuring that the respective legal maximum contents for complete feed are respected. The opinion of a nutrition expert or veterinarian should be sought before using the feed or before extending its period of use.
