Excitement at Wexford Equestrian Centre as Annabel Shields Clinches Victory in 135 TRM®️ | SJC Spring Tour
On March 2nd, we headed down to Wexford Equestrian Centre for the fourth leg of the TRM®️ | SJC Spring Tour. With a generous prize purse of €3000 up for grabs, anticipation was high as 28 riders geared up to tackle the course. The first round, comprising of fences 1 to 12, proved to be a test with a tight time allowed of 81 seconds. 12 combinations managed to produce a clear first round but 5 of these clear rounds incurred one time penalty , narrowing the jump off down to 7 combinations.
First to go was Annabel Shields riding Creevagh Carisma delivering a clear round in 34.35 seconds. This proved to be unbeatable and she took first position. Creevagh Carisma is by Camino de Haar Z out of Creevagh Duca Di Clover and is owned by Annabel. This was the pairs second time winning a leg of the TRM®️ | SJC Spring Tour having previously won it in Jag Equestrian Centre.
Sven Hadley, riding Sumas Taloubet, secured second place with a time of 34.90 seconds, while Cathal Daniels partnered Capog Tomy to clinch third place in a time of 35.76 seconds.
Deirdre Doyle, riding the 8-year-old Kancruise, produced a double clear round, earning fourth place with a time of 40.12 seconds. Nicolas Connors, aboard Fornett D’Emeraude, delivered a flawless round to secure fifth place, followed by Sven Hadley once again, this time with Holmoak Koln, claiming the sixth spot.
Looking ahead, the excitement continues as the Spring Tour moves to Banner Equestrian Centre on March 9th, followed by Killossery on March 10th. With the leaderboard taking shape, Annabel Shields currently leads the pack with an impressive 24 points, setting the stage for more thrilling competitions in the weeks to come.
Orla Queally of TRM®️ had the honor of presenting the TRM®️ product packs to the deserving winners, symbolizing TRM®️’s continuous support for Irish Showjumping and its athletes. Congratulations to all of our prize winners!
The top 3 riders were presented with TRM®️ supplement packs, courtesy of TRM®. These packs included essential products such as TRM Hat, TRM Global Brochure, Kurasyn PB, Good as Gold Paste, Equizal, Hoof Oil & Brush, Flamezze, Omega 3, Superlyte Paste, and Speedxcell. Additionally, the leading young rider, Gary Dooley, was awarded a TRM Saddle Cloth.
