TRM® Ambassador Profile – Lillie Keenan USA
Background:
TRM Ambassador Lillie Keenan, an accomplished International Showjumper based in the United States, receives coaching from McLain Ward based at Castle Hill Farm. Her equestrian journey commenced at the age of 6 at Claremount Stables, a small riding school. She later advanced her training at Heritage Farm, guided by Andre Dignelli and Patricia Griffith, marking the beginning of her competitive career. Keenan gained early recognition by clinching victories in all three divisions at the 2007 USEF Hunter Pony National Championships when she was just 10 years old.
Following her passion for both academics and equestrianism, Keenan pursued education at Harvard University, where she earned a degree in History of Science in 2019. During 2020, Lillie decided to create her own clothing line named ‘Lillie by Flying Changes’. She wanted to create a unique brand focusing on quality and detail.
Career Highlights:
In 2014, at the age of 17, Keenan was given the opportunity to jump in her first Nations Cups in Ascona (SUI) & Bratislava (SVK). During that year, she also took part in World Cup Qualifier Events and The Hampton Classic. The following year, 2015, marked the beginning of her university journey and her transition to a professional career. This period led her to join Cian O’Connor for training, gaining valuable experience on the European circuit.
In 2017, Keenan played a crucial role in the team’s victory at the Aga Khan during the Dublin Horse Show, partnering with her horse, Super Sox. The following year, she found herself shortlisted for the World Equestrian Games and received full-time training from McLain Ward.
Regarding her recent achievements, in 2022, Keenan and Queensland E secured their first CS5* Grand Prix victory in Monterrey. More recently, she teamed up with Argan de Beliard to claim victory in the 5* Grand Prix of Ottawa in August 2023.
