TRM®’s First Sponsored Race of the Year at Naas Racecourse

TRM is thrilled to be sponsoring 6 flat races for the upcoming season at Naas Racecourse. Following a tremendously successful year last season. TRM are also delighted to be sponsoring the prestigious league for the winning-most trainer as well as the winning BTO (Best Turned Out) League.

The first sponsored race of 2024 kicked off on Sunday the 24th of March. The TRM Equine Nutrition Race was a race ran over a 1mile in distance and was confined for 3 year old’s and up that hadn’t won more than 1 race.

Purple Lily, the talented filly, justified her favorite status and clinched her second career win, ridden to victory by Billy Lee. Trainer Paddy Twomey shared his thoughts on her performance, stating, “She’s a nice filly and she wintered well. She had a good run in Galway last year and trained well all through spring. You can see she has size and scope and is a strong filly. She’s entered in all of the guineas. We will take our time with her and might look at the guineas trial here and then the Irish guineas. She is a filly that will improve through the year.”

Congratulations to all winning connections, our next sponsored race takes place on the 11th of May.

At the launch, TRM also announced for the 2024 season they would again be running the Best-Turned-Out League along with the Trainer’s League across the turf season. The leading flat trainer at Naas in 2024 can look forward to €3000 worth of TRM supplements, the runner up €2000 and the second runner up €1000 while the Best-Turned-Out League winners will again bag a €1000 voucher for the TRI Equestrian Store with breakfast delivered to the yard to reward all the hard work put in by the winning team.

TRM aims to recognise all connections of the horse by providing each winning trainer and breeder of the six TRM supported races with TRM supplements to the value of €500. The new flat season will also see them introduce an owners hamper to the value of €200 that will be open to every owner with a runner on the raceday at Naas to enter, so if they don’t win on the track, they might still have a chance to win off it!
